Frequently Asked Questions

Who can be included in your Gold Family plan?

The account holder can include immediate family in the 10 accounts allowed. Immediate family for the account holder includes their spouse, children, grandchildren, parents, grandparents, siblings, and in-laws.

What does the Gold Family fee include?

The Gold Family fee includes all maintenance and transaction fees, except wire fees, special services fees, overnight fees, and asset research fees.

When is the fee charged and paid? 

Gold Family plan has an annual fee which is charged to the account in January and must be paid in full by the end of the month.

If I want to switch to the Gold Family plan mid-year, do the fees that I paid earlier in the year apply toward my Gold Family annual fee? 

No, however Quest will prorate the fee based on the number of months until the end of the year.

How does the Gold Family Plan differ from other fee options? 

The Gold Family Plan includes most transactional fees within a flat annual fee, removing the need to worry about individual transaction costs.

Why might the Gold Family Plan be a good option for me? 

If you're an active investor and want an all-inclusive fee option without the need to track individual transaction costs, the Gold Family Plan might be suitable.

Meet the Gold Family Team


Hi! I’m Rebecca Miller, and I’m so honored to be one of the longest tenured employees at Quest Trust Company, joining the company in 2009. I currently serve as the Gold Family Account Officer, overseeing Quest Trust Company’s recently expanded Gold Family & Inherited Departments. In 2013, I received the designation of Certified IRA Services Professional from the American Bankers Association while pursuing my Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. After completing my IRA Specialist training in Houston, I was transferred to Quest Trust Company's Austin office to oversee the operations there. After, I was then transferred to Dallas to spearhead the growth of the central Texas territory. Since returning to the Houston office in 2020, I have had the opportunity to apply my self-directed expertise and management experience to the development of the Gold Family & Inherited Departments. I am very passionate about providing an unparalleled customer experience that caters to the needs of our Gold Family account holders and account beneficiaries. 


My name is Denise Taylor, and I have been at Quest Trust Company since 2015. Before joining the Quest, I had experience investing in Real Estate, along with my husband, purchasing and flipping properties, using our self-directed IRA accounts here at Quest. For several years I worked with our clients in our Transactions Department, assisting with investments in all three of our funding departments, Real Estate, Notes and Private Entities. In 2017, I earned the designation of Certified IRA Specialists Professional. For two years I enjoyed managing the Accounts Receivable Department. In 2022, I was asked to join our Gold Family team. I consider it a privilege to be a part of this team and look forward to new challenges and endeavors in my new role. I hope to be instrumental in the growth of the Gold Family Department to bring a great experience to all of our Gold Family members.   


My name is Robyn Ruston, and I have been at Quest Trust Company since 2018. Prior to joining Quest, I had extensive knowledge and experience working in private investing at DMI for 10 years, which is a private investment firm in Dallas that focused their investments on LLC and notes. I joined the Quest team in the Transactions Department where I started in Private Entities assisting clients on their investments and funding process. From there I quickly gained more knowledge in Notes and Real Estate on how to process and fund their investments, making the process as easy as possible for the client. In 2023 I was asked to join the Gold Family team. I consider it a privilege to be a part of this team and look forward to new challenges and endeavors in my new role. I hope to be instrumental in the growth of the Gold Family Department and to bring a great experience to all our Gold Family members. 


Alyssa Montayne here! I began working for Quest Trust Company in August of 2021 as a Director of First Impressions. After the three-month extensive training program, we lovingly call “New Hire” I was ready to take the IRA world by storm! I joined the Gold Family/Inherited team in February 2022 and my, what an experience it has been. There’s so much to learn and plenty of opportunity to grow. If you would have told me five years ago that I would be chatting it up with America’s top performing investors sporting high heels and a blazer, I would have laughed! It’s been such a pleasure to care for and serve our valued clients, and I can’t wait to see what's next in my career with Quest Trust Company.
